For three nights, we camped on the shores of Galilee. Each afternoon into evening, the wind picked up and blew across the lake with force. This evolved into a beautiful orange sunset due to the dust in the air across the lake over the mountains and a resounding sound of the waves crashing the shore. The first night I took a video with my personal camera. This was a remarkable moment that I will never forget. The beach we camped at on the eastern shores was the same location where Jesus through his great compassion for the crowds who came to him, multiplied the loaves and fish so that 4000 people could eat (Matthew 15:29-39). Now, this holy site is merely a public beach and common camping site. There is a large rock a hundred meters north of the very spot we slept that has some beautiful mosaic plaques to commemorate this Biblical event. This multiplication of the 4000 loaves and fish is often overlooked as evidenced by this holy site because the site of the miracle of the multiplication of the 5000 loaves and fish is noticeably more "famous". That holy site is on the north side of the lake near Capernaum.
